What do I need to do to enrol my dog in daycare?
Meet all of the requirements and your dog must pass the temperament evaluation test.
What vaccinations does my dog need to attend daycare?

How much does daycare cost?
$25 for a full day.
Do you offer half day rates?
Yes, for five hours and under, the price will be $17.
Do you offer packages?
Yes, prepaid package will be $230 for 10 days (can decide any day).
Do you give discounts for multiple dog households?
Yes, additional dogs that live in the same household will be discounted. The first dog will be full price, and each additional dog will be $20 per day.
How old does my dog need to be to attend daycare?
At least six months of age.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
How long does it take to interview my dog?
It takes about 15 to 30 minutes. It depends how comfortable your dog is in the situation if we will need more time or cut the interview short.
Will my dog have access to an outside area?
Yes, your dog will have access to an outside nearby park regularly which allows your dog to remain on its normal potty routine.
Does my dog need to be socialized before attending dog day care?
No, but your dog must be open to being socialized with other dogs. We will not take any aggressive dogs.
Does my dog need to be on a flea treatment?
Yes, see the Rules page.
Does my dog need to be potty trained before attending daycare?
No, we will be happy to work with your dog while in day care. We will discuss this with you at the time of the interview.
Can my dog have some toys from home in daycare?
No, because some dogs may become possessive with their own toys. We will supply plenty of toys for your dog to play with.
What should I bring when my dog boards for the night?
When your dog boards at Ginny & Friends, we ask that you limit what you bring to just the necessities. Here are the acceptable items:
  • Food
    Please pack and bring the food your dog is accustomed to eating and bring enough for the entire stay. It's best not to change your dog's diet while away from home. If your dog eats wet food mixed with dry, feel free to bring it.
    If your dog requires home cooked food, please pack them individually or if it requires home cooked rice, we will be most glad to do it for your dog at an additional charge of $$2 per day
  • Treats
    Please feel free to bring it but we ask that you only bring those treats that your dog is accustomed to eating at home
  • Bedding & Blanket or Towel
    You are welcome to bring it if you feel it will make your dog happier and more comfortable. However, please keep in mind that it will be in a room with other dogs and there is a chance it may get wet or damaged from the excitement of the other boarders! Rarely have we had beds destroyed but it can happen.
  • Medication
    Please don't forget to bring any medication that your dog need/require while boarding. We are VERY careful about administering medication and we will make certain your dog gets each dose at the appropriate time. We want your dog to be happy and healthy, so please let us know what we can do to help in any way.
